OUR SECOND YEAR OF PARTNERSHIP WITH SAS WAS LAUNCHED IN EASTERN CAPE LAST MONTH!

We are delighted to share with you our ongoing collaboration with SAS. This is an exciting milestone in our continual work with the Maths teachers and learners at at the C.M. Vellem Primary school in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape.
This partnership is a true depiction that meaningful impact doesn’t happen overnight, it grows through consistent investment, shared commitment and steady support. Real change is built step by step, intervention by intervention, school by school and child by child.
This was our first engagement with Seotloana Primary School, making this launch particularly significant as we established a new foundation for long-term impacThis year, 40 extra Grade 6 learners and 10 Mathematics teachers were sponsored as part of the program. Over three focused days, learners and teachers went through an initial training.
We believe impactful change starts with teachers and by equipping these 10 Maths educators with refreshed knowledge on how to teach effectively, we not only impact their current classes but we also strengthening every learner they will teach in the years to come. That is exponential impact.
For the 40 Grade 6 learners, this intervention meant more than extra lessons. It meant individual attention, encouragement in areas where they struggled, structured revision, and a meaningful boost in Maths confidence.
Our Team was warmly welcomed by Mr Mfecene, the schools principal whose enthusiasm truly set the tone for the entire visit. Having interacted with us before, he understood the value of the intervention and expressed genuine excitement about having the programme back at the school for a second year.
His eagerness to ensure his teachers and learners are well trained reinforced a shared commitment to strengthening Maths understanding across the school. A big thank you to Mr Mfecene for being open, proactive and investing in long-term growth with us that makes sustainable impact possible.
We are proud to begin this journey with Gautrain and look forward to sharing continued progress as this partnership grows. Together, we are laying foundations that extend far beyond a single intervention, strengthening teachers, empowering learners, and building confidence that will carry into future classrooms and careers.
