THE ROAD HAD THREE MORE STOPS. THE MISSION WAS FAR FROM FINISHED
Last week, we shared the first chapter of our journey through Winterton, where three schools welcomed the My Maths Buddy team but there were still three more schools waiting. With Bidfood making this journey possible, our team was ready to turn the final three stops into the beginning of something much bigger!
19 OCTOBER | EZINYONYANA PRIMARY SCHOOL
37 Grade 5 learners embarked on an exciting journey to discover just how FUN Maths can be!
Tucked away in the rural community of Emmaus near Winterton is Ezinyonyana Primary School, a no-fee school where young minds are growing and dreams are taking shape. Our fourth stop brought our team here to introduce the My Maths Buddy Initial Workshop, followed by Amazing Maths Words and an introduction to the My Maths Buddy Club.
For these learners, this was their first step into a program designed to help them explore the language of Maths, question what they don’t understand and discover the importance of knowing what Maths words really mean and just like that, school number four was officially on the map!
20 OCTOBER | MAMPONJWANA PRIMARY SCHOOL
The following day, the journey continued to Mamponjwana Primary School. Situated near the Drakensberg region, the school is located in Magangangozi, within the wider Winterton area. There are approximately 35 learners for every educator meaning that teachers ability to provide individual attention to their learners can be a challenge. That’s where additional support can make a meaningful difference!
Our team worked alongside the willing and dedicated teachers at the school. Here, 35 Grade 5 learners became the next group to experience the My Maths Buddy Magic.
21 OCTOBER | EMMAUS PRIMARY SCHOOL
92 Grade 5 learners. The final stop. The biggest group of Week Two!

An incredible group of 92 Grade 5 learners from Emmaus Primary School began their journey with us. What a wonderful way to wrap up these deliveries. With that, all 6 schools have officially been visited!
THE JOURNEY DIDN’T END WITH THE 2 WEEK DELIVERIES!
Our team took things a step further by extending the teachers’ workshops, completing their Maths training and officially getting the My Maths Buddy Clubs underway!
The timing couldn’t have been better! With exams fast approaching, learners were given a valuable opportunity to revisit important Maths concepts, strengthen their understanding and reinforce their knowledge through focused revision.
