It is obvious that the reason learners get moved to Maths Literacy is because they are not coping with pure Maths. So, instead of handling the problem that the learners are facing with Maths they move to Maths Literacy.
One thing that is being not taken into consideration though by many parents is that pure Maths is not only a foundation for such important careers as engineering, medicine, science, accounting, IT, architecture, actuarial science and so on. It also builds a solid foundation for their children in critical thinking and problem-solving skills in their day-to-day life.
Every single child needs these skills and abilities to survive and succeed in today’s world not just as individuals but as professionals, employees and members of our society.
So, why do you need to be aware of it? Because it directly affects your company and it’s performance. The more such employees you have the more efficient their work is.
People with high abilities in problem solving have a natural tendency to come up with fast and pro-survival solutions in their work environment which directly affects your company’s viability and growth.
Countries with weaker Maths performance illustrated by some PISA results often show lower adult competency in numeracy and problem solving, which correlates with lower productivity and weaker employment skill levels. For example, France has been shown to have lower adult levels of Maths and problem-solving proficiency compared with other OECD countries, which analysts link with slower productivity growth.
South Africa is not an exception to it.

We need you to join us in our crusade to uplift standards of Maths education in South Africa. Every child you decide to sponsor will be given a chance to improve their Maths understanding and performance thus opening a door to better possibilities and higher abilities to not only survive well for themselves but also contribute positively to their society.
Every teacher you decide to sponsor will get trained on how to teach Maths with full understanding and how to bring love for Maths.
You can either choose a school in your community like many of our sponsors do or support one of the schools that we already working with.
Apart from being part of the positive movement that changes children lives you also will be able to receive tax and BEE benefits that your company is entitle to when donating towards our campaign.
