The purpose of the My Maths Buddy Program is to address the gaps in Maths knowledge of learners on the program based on the assessments completed. Our assessments are unique and address each grade of Maths starting with grade R.
It is hard to believe but often learners start having confusions in Maths as early as grade R.
My Maths Buddy training programs are designed to address the gaps and help learners to restore the knowledge of Maths lost.
Last month we had a group of learners from Thulisa Primary school graduating their Grade R program with great results. The My Maths Buddy Club is run by our dedicated Maths teacher Ms. Anna Mazibukho. Her learners did very well and achieved great results as can be seen below:
- Average mark for grade R assessment has improved by 7.2% from 90.2% to 97.4%.
- Number of learners who passed the grade R assessment 100% grew from 36% to 68%.
- During the pre-assessments 14 learners out of 22 couldn’t achieve 100%. But after re-assessment all 14 learners have improved their results and 8 of them have achieved a 100% mark.
- The last 6 learners have very small corrections to do to achieve 100% pass and we confidently can say that they will achieve it in the new term.
My Maths Buddy program allowed these learners to handle confusions in Maths relevant to grade R. In the new term the learners who passed 100% are moving to their next program – Grade 1 Gaps Program.
And we are excited to see more wins coming!

Our goal for this year Nelson Mandela campaign is to enroll 120 learners and 30 Maths teachers from 3 schools onto the My Maths Buddy program.
Three schools have been nominated to be part of the Nelson Mandela Day Campaign 2026:
- Zandspruit Primary School
- Olievenhoutbosch Primary School
- Philena Primary School
