AUTO X PARTNERS WITH US TO STRENGTHEN MATHS EDUCATION

We are excited to share on our first intervention that took place at Zandspruit Primary School on the 13th April. Our team encountered 10 Grade 7 learners who all participated in our training program designed to address key areas of their Maths journey. The My Maths Buddy Workshop introduced learners to the importance of Maths in everyday life and future career opportunities.

The learner response to the intervention was powerful. Every learner who attended shared that they enjoyed the training, with 96% highlighting Maths words as the most valuable part of the session.
Most importantly, 100% agreed that understanding Maths words is essential to improving in Maths and committed to using their My Maths Buddy Dictionary as part of their studies. This reflects the core of what we strive for helping learners move from memorising and guessing to understanding and applying with confidence.
What stood out most was the shift in attitude. Learners shared that Maths now feels easier, more enjoyable and less intimidating because they finally understood the words and concepts behind the work. This shift from confusion to confidence is what drives the impact of the programme and reminds us why this work matters so deeply.
One learner shared;
“I feel much better now because the reason why Maths was difficult for me was because I did not understand the words.“
This simple but powerful reflection highlights the core transformation once the language of Maths became clear, confidence started to grow.
We are truly grateful for our continued partnership with AUTO X. As we keep strengthening Maths understanding and confidence, we are encouraged by the positive progress already visible in classrooms. Even more exciting is the journey ahead and we look forward to sharing the continued growth and results as this partnership deepens and expands.

This inspiring initiative calls on individuals, businesses and communities to honour Nelson Mandela’s legacy by empowering children through education. Your support can help provide learners with the tools they need to build confidence, strengthen understanding and unlock brighter futures.
Our goal for this year Nelson Mandela campaign is to enroll 120 learners and 30 Maths teachers from 3 schools onto the My Maths Buddy program.
Three schools have been nominated to be part of the Nelson Mandela Day Campaign 2026:

- Philena Primary School
