This week the My Maths Buddy team visited Seotloana Primary School and Cresslawn Primary School to facilitate Teacher Handling Sessions, equipping teachers with the practical knowledge and skills needed to confidently lead their My Maths Buddy Clubs. These sessions are designed to ensure that teachers are fully prepared to continue supporting their learners long after our on-site visits. While the My Maths Buddy Team may leave the school, our support continues through ongoing communication, guidance and mentorship whenever it’s needed.
During the training, teachers received My Maths Buddy learner worksheets and club programmes, along with hands-on guidance on how to use these resources effectively. They were taken through the lesson structure, club activities and best practices to help create engaging, impactful and successful Maths Club sessions.
A total of 10 dedicated teachers participated in the training 7 from Cresslawn Primary School and 3 from Seotloana Primary School. They are now even better equipped to inspire confidence, strengthen Mathematical understanding and help every learner reach their full potential.

As the month draws to a close, we are proud to have fully supported one of our three nominated schools through our Nelson Mandela Day Drive!
All nominated learners and teachers at Zandspruit Primary School are now supported and will be well equipped through the My Maths Buddy programme! Our team is headed to Zandspruit Primary School this Friday to deliver some My Maths Buddy Magic!
We are sincerely grateful to every partner who contributed to supporting these learners and teachers. Your generosity has created meaningful opportunities in the classrooms at Zandspruit Primary School and we look forward to sharing highlights from our upcoming event at the school as we celebrate the collective impact we have achieved together.
Although we weren’t able to reach every nominated school during this campaign, we’re excited to share with you that we will be launching a new campaign that will help us expand our reach to the 2 identified schools Philena primary school and Olievenhoutbosch primary school!
