In just a few days, the My Maths Buddy Team will be arriving at Zandspruit Primary School to equip every nominated learner and teacher with the tools, training and support they need to thrive in Maths.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of Lewis Group, together with all of our amazing partners, we successfully reached our goal of fully supporting the first school. Now every nominated learner and teacher at Zandspruit Primary will soon begin their My Maths Buddy journey!
Situated in one of Gauteng’s fastest-growing communities between Centurion, Midrand and Pretoria, Philena serves families from diverse backgrounds who have made Olievenhoutbosch their home in search of opportunity. As the community continues to grow, so does the demand for quality education and the resources needed to help every learner succeed.
Supporting Philena primary school is far more than just supporting a school, it is also uplifting an entire community. Every My Maths Buddy dictionary placed in a learner’s hand, every teacher equipped with better resources and every Maths lesson made more meaningful creates a ripple effect that reaches families, strengthens this community and shapes future generations.
Together, we can ensure that every learner at Philena Primary has the opportunity to understand, succeed and believe that their future is filled with possibility!

Join Us this Nelson Mandela Day! Our 2026 Nelson Mandela campaign was launched last week and we want you to be part of it!
This inspiring initiative calls on individuals, businesses and communities to honour Nelson Mandela’s legacy by empowering children through education. Your support can help provide learners with the tools they need to build confidence, strengthen understanding and unlock brighter futures.
Our goal for this year Nelson Mandela campaign is to enroll 120 learners and 30 Maths teachers from 3 schools onto the My Maths Buddy program.
Three schools have been nominated to be part of the Nelson Mandela Day Campaign 2026:
- Zandspruit Primary School
- Olievenhoutbosch Primary School
- Philena Primary School
